I CAN demonstrate comprehension by responding to questions that relate to
informational text.

a question about a non-fiction book.
I CAN problem solve using "Pre-PEPSE" strategies.
*This means that I can find answers to multiple choice questions, within a
passage, and underline them.
I CAN read with fluency.
*This means that I can recognize words automatically, read with expression, and
focus on comprehension.
I CAN write for a variety of purposes, attending to content, organization,
and the conventions of writing.
*This means that I can write a response that looks right, sounds right, and
makes sense. My writing also has capital letters and periods.
Grade 2
