Gym I Can Statements 2nd Quarter
Kindergarten
I can travel and make straight, curved and zig-zag pathways.
I can travel around stationary objects without touching them.
I can follow the pathway that my partner takes.
I can safely change from one speed to another when traveling.
First Grade
I can throw a variety of objects using an underhand and an overhand motion.
I can catch a self tossed object.
I can catch a ball thrown softly to different places around the body.
I can jump and land using a variety of takeoffs.
I can change my jumping techniques in order to avoid various equipment.
I can jump a swinging rope at least five times forward and backward.
Second Grade
I can throw as far as possible using an underhand motion.
I can throw (underhand) to themselves and catch, using a scoop or other implement.
I can catch a softly thrown ball at different levels.
I can perform different body movements to a series of beats of varying tempo.
I can vary speed and force depending on music.
I can follow simple sequences that combine locomotor and body movement.
Third Grade
I can transfer weight from one body part to another in a variety of ways.

levels, pathways and extensions.
I can roll, starting and ending in different shapes using different speeds.

Fourth Grade

Fifth Grade

I can catch objects of different sizes and weights while moving toward a specified area.
