If you're a subscriber to one of these internet providors, you may have difficulties with WebAccess. This is due to the fact that when you browse the web from within the your software window you don't make direct connections to the destination web servers. Instead, you connect to a network of proxy servers which make the connection for you and then relay the contents of the page back to you. This can save on download times since the proxy server caches frequently accessed pages. Unfortunately, the caching process is what causes the difficulties with WebAccess. The workaround is to:
When you connect to WebAccess using the steps above you connect directly to our server without going through your ISPs proxy servers.
If you have any questions about any of this just call or email Jim Hedrick, jhedrick@brunswickschools.org or call (330) 273-0506

If you get this message every time you try to open or send an email from GroupWise Web Access, your problem may be due to your web browser settings if you are using Internet Explorer.
To modify your Internet Explorer settings:

This setting will force Internet Explorer to do a complete refresh every time it encounters a page and eliminates the problem.
*"Automatically" is the default setting and is a design flaw in Internet Explorer that causes the frequent login request problem.

Q. When I try to log into Groupwise, I get the message "Please login again. You may have typed your name or password incorrectly. Remember that passwords are case sensitive". I'm entering the same username and password that I always have. How can I get it to work?
A. There are three main reasons why you get this message:
1) Your username or password were typed incorrectly. Please remember that passwords are case-sensitive.
2) If you have already verified that your username and password were typed correctly, your password may need to be changed or reset. To do this, you should visit your building, change your Groupwise password and sign in again. If you continue to have trouble, please contact the tech department.
3) You may not have a Groupwise password established. A Groupwise password is required to access e-mail using the web interface. This password is different from your network password. A Groupwise password can only be established from your building. After signing into the network from your building, start Groupwise, select the "Tools" menu, then the "Options" choice, followed by "Security". Press the [ENTER] key In the "Old password" field and type your password in the "New password" field. You will also need to retype your password in the "Confirm password" field, the press the "OK" button at the bottom of the window. Again, if in doubt, the tech staff is happy to assist.
