Before the winter break, parents in grades 4-8 should have received reports regarding the state tests their child took last spring. We have information posted on our website to help parents learn how to read these reports and understand what they mean for your student. If you have questions about these parent reports please contact your child’s building and we will be glad to assist.
January is School Board Recognition Month. Our school board plays a vital part in our district. While the board meets each month, those meetings are a small part of what they do for our district. It is because of their continued support that we are able to be Brunswick strong. We are lucky to have a district where our staff can continue to grow and learn, where new ideas are supported and encouraged and where the programming and opportunities for students are increasing and expanding. I encourage you to reach out and thank our board members this month for their dedicated service and time to our district and community. Their efforts and hard work are very much appreciated.
Also in January, our middle school students will receive their Chromebooks. This is the second part of our 1:1 technology initiative that we started this year. Chromebooks will be distributed on January 16th from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. This will take place at the high school student center. More information about this can be found on the district website under the middle school news tab.
I hope that everyone is enjoying their last few days of winter break. We are looking forward to the students returning and having a great second half of the school year. As always if you have any questions or concerns about Brunswick City Schools don’t hesitate to contact us. Go Big Blue!
