Mrs. Aly Horn
Mrs. Horn is so thrilled to be a part of the Brunswick City Schools. She is currently serving as the Director of Choirs, working with Treble Choir, Mixed Symphonic Choir, Concert Choir, Show Choir, Madrigals and Men's Chorus. She spent her first three years of teaching at Perrysburg Junior High School, where she was the Head Director of Choirs and Show Choirs, Drama Club Advisor, Musical Director and Auditorium Manager. She is an alumnus of Ashland University and graduated summa cum laude, earning a Bachelors of Music in Vocal Music Education. She has performed as a Soprano soloist for many major choral works, including Handel’s Messiah, Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Bach’s Magnificat and Vivaldi’s Gloria. In addition to these works, Mrs. Horn has also performed in many musicals (her favorite was Belle in Beauty and the Beast), voice recitals, opera workshops and weddings. In her spare time, Mrs. Horn loves to spend time with her husband and family, watch football, go shopping, bake sweet treats and corral her crazy yellow lab, Tess. She is a member of the Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA), the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), and the Dalcroze Society of America. She will also be serving as the Choir Director at Willetts Middle School.
