It has been a real pleasure working with all my Title 1 students grades K-5. I try to motivate my students to increase their fluency and comprehsion by providing them with a variety of resources. They love to play reading games on my classroom smart board. We also use ipods and laptops at least once a week where we visit reading sites. We play card games with their site words and board games that increase vocabulary and comprehension. Grades 3-5 are each reading a chapter book with me. We also read short passages and use our reading strategies taught in the regular classroom to complete the questions. Thanks again for your support from home!
