| Brunswick City School District is currently accepting
applications for Intradistrict Open Enrollment (grades K-8) and Interdistrict
Open Enrollment (grades 9-12) for the 2008-2009 school year. Applications are available in school offices and at the Board of Education Office.
Current open enrollment students have automatically received
application packages. Applications will be accepted through May 31.
Open enrollment allows students to attend schools other than the one in their area or district of residence. Parents considering this option should be aware that applications are considered for acceptance in the order they are received, permission to open enroll is granted for only one year, annual reapplication is required to request continued open enrollment, transportation of open enrolled students becomes the responsibility of the parents, and acceptances can be revoked through September 5, 2008, and students can be sent back to their home schools if grade level capacity limits are reached due to increased enrollment by students who live in the district/attendance area.
